Cam driven focus system and chassis style lens housing allow matte boxes and other accessories to be attached to the front of the lens, without affecting focus movements. The benefit of zero backlash and image shift give accurate dual focus scales that repeat on direction and change with the cam drive system, giving a wide spread of markings through the scale.
Aluminium alloy, stainless steel, brass and robust construction guarantees a long serviceable life.
The 17mm Mamiya Fisheye is using the base lens of a 24mm Mamiya 645 Fisheye. We introduce a 0.7x speed booster behind the base lens. This turns the 24mm into a 17mm lens and has the bonus of increasing the amount of light hitting the sensor. Therefore, wide open the lens (typically) reaches T3.3. As the original base lens was designed to cover the stills 645 film format, once the speed booster is on, the lens will still cover all full frame sensors.
