Super Baltar Re-Engineering Project 20 – 152mm

Following the success of the Cooke Speed Panchro re-housing project, True Lens Services is proud to announce its latest addition, the Bausch and Lomb Super Baltar range.

We can update the entire Super Baltar range: 20mm, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm and 152mm.

Built during the 1950’s these classic Hollywood cinema lenses were a staple of the era and were used to shoot film classics, such as The Godfather and The Birds.

Now that TLS has re-housed these legendary optics, they can be used with the latest PL mount 2K and 4K digital camera systems.

Unlike today’s extremely sharp, highly corrected lenses, the Bausch and Lomb Super Baltar lenses can give your project a classic and distinct retro look. With warm, low contrasts and unique flare characteristics, these lenses are perfect for creating vintage visuals.

The Upgrade Process:

The Results:

The build quality of all our re-engineered lenses is extremely high. We ensure all our modified units are highly robust and will last for many years to come.

The optics of the Super Baltar will remain unchanged and their unmistakable visuals will be preserved as they originally are. The only difference is that they are now a perfect match for 4K digital camera systems that are used in the industry today.

The updated units are compatible with electronic drives, follow focus units and matte boxes. Focus pullers will appreciate the smooth feel and reliable action that gives excellent results every time.
