Under normal conditions of use and with proper maintenance, this warranty covers:

  • Mechanical components manufactured and/or assembled by TLS
  • Internal mechanical failures caused by defects in materials or workmanship
  • Faulty mechanical parts replaced during the rehousing process
  • Labor costs for valid warranty repairs carried out by TLS or its authorised service centres

3. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Mechanical failure due to impact, abuse, or misuse (including drops or excessive force)
  • Disassembly or modification by anyone other than TLS or a TLS-authorised service centre
  • Presence of dust, debris, fungus, or internal contamination
  • Optical components (e.g., glass elements or coatings), unless replaced or refurbished by TLS and proven faulty due to workmanship
  • Cosmetic wear and tear, including anodising wear, or surface blemishes
  • Normal aging of lubricants or internal damping materials
  • Damage caused by environmental exposure (e.g., excessive moisture, salt, sand, or chemical exposure)

4. Warranty Claim Process

To make a claim:

  1. Contact TLS at sales@truelens.co.uk, providing your service reference or serial number (if applicable) and a detailed description of the issue
  2. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs to TLS
  3. If the issue is not covered under warranty, TLS will provide a repair quotation before proceeding

5. Transferability

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original customer named on the TLS invoice or service agreement.

6. Limitation of Liability

TLS shall not be liable for:

  • Any production delays, rental losses, or loss of income resulting from lens malfunction
  • Damage to equipment caused by third-party accessories, mounting issues, or environmental conditions beyond TLS’s control

7. Final Notes

  • Regular servicing is recommended to maintain optimal lens performance. This warranty does not replace preventive maintenance
  • All warranty repairs or inspections must be carried out by TLS or its authorised service partners. Unauthorized intervention will void the warranty
  • TLS reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether a fault is covered under warranty
