This year, we proudly exhibited for the first time at the Broadcast India Show 2024, where we had the opportunity to connect with professionals in the vibrant broadcast and film sectors in India. Gavin Whitehurst, our Managing Director, and Joe Goode, the Lead of the Rehousing Team, were the ones joining this event.

Broadcast India Show 2024 Highlights

The Broadcast India Show is the go-to event for anyone in the broadcast and entertainment world, and this year’s 33rd edition, held from 17 to 19 October at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, didn’t disappoint. It brought together the best and brightest to explore the latest trends and technology in media. We were excited to be a part of it!

The Lenses Stealing the Spotlight

At our booth in the Production Village, we showcased some of our top rehoused lenses, including Canon FDs, Mamiya 645s, Zeiss Super Speeds, and our very own TLS Vega lenses. The enthusiasm was incredible! Visitors were curious about how our lenses can provide unique character looks that open up wider creative flexibility. They were especially excited about our lenses' capability to cover various formats, including Super-35, full-frame, and up to 65mm sensors. It was fantastic to see so many filmmakers eager to explore the creative possibilities.

Connecting with Amazing Professionals

What really made our time special were the connections we forged. We met fantastic cinema distributors, rental houses, and talented DoPs who shared their insights and experiences. It was inspiring to chat about the evolving landscape of the industry and hear how our lenses could fit into their projects. A special thanks to Tinnu International for taking us around and introducing us to amazing professionals!

6-Hour Lens Testing with Anay Goswamy and Futureworks!

One of the standout experiences was our 6-hour lens testing session with DoP Anay Goswamy and Futureworks Rental House. We explored a variety of lenses, putting them in different setups to see their performance in action.

Enjoying the Local Culture

Outside of the exhibition, we embraced the spirit of Mumbai. We hopped on tuk-tuks, tried out some delicious local cuisine, and soaked in the city’s vibrant atmosphere. It was a great way to connect with the culture and add some fun to our trip!

What’s Next for TLS?

Our first experience at the Broadcast India Show was unforgettable. The enthusiasm for our lenses and the wonderful people we met made it a truly memorable event.

Exciting News! We’ll be returning to India to exhibit at the Cinematica Expo on 16-17 November 2024, at HICC, Novotel, Hyderabad along with our partner Tinnu International.
