The Zeiss B Speeds or Super Speed MK1 as they are sometimes known, were released in the mid 70’s and were some of the fastest lenses around at this time. The range consists of 18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm and 85mm with a T stop of 1.4. One thing that makes the B Speeds stand out is the triangular iris which results in that distinctive triangular bokeh. This is something DOPs either love or hate and consequently, we can offer Zeiss B Speed rehousing with the option of a triangular iris, or a new circular iris design.

These lenses are also known for being very compact and as a result, TLS is rehousing the lens into a 95mm front, whilst keeping the cam-form system, high quality and strength. The original movements of the elements, some of which are floating, will be incorporated into the design so there is no loss of quality to the image.

The TLS 60mm Macro lens covers full frame and will achieve a 1:1 close focus ratio. It’s compact with a 95mm front diameter but uses the well-known and proven TLS mechanics and cam driven focus. The lens uses a 16-blade circular iris, resulting in smooth bokeh no matter what stop the lens is being used at. The Macro is fully internal focussing.

The image is sharp in the centre with a slight softening towards the corners. It matches in with the TLS Vega range very well and can be used as an additional focal length for specific shots where needed. The smaller front diameter will allow for more lighting options when using at MOD.

The lens is currently only available in PL mount.

Vega lenses were developed with filmmakers in mind in response to the market’s growing demand for lenses capable of covering the larger full frame digital camera format. TLS’s latest development, Vega, is a new series of Full Frame cine prime lenses. Vega exists in a set of ten lenses, including 20mm, 24mm, 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 58mm, 85mm, 105mm, 135mm and 200mm focal lengths, ranging from T1.5 to T2.

The Vega lenses, although sharp, have a beautiful smooth look with a tiny amount of fall off towards the corners. They also have a stunning bokeh as a result of their 16 blade circular iris and when wide open, can offer a very narrow depth of field.

Cam driven focus system and chassis style lens housing allow matte boxes and other accessories to be attached to the front of the lens, without affecting focus movements. The benefit of zero backlash and image shift give accurate dual focus scales that repeat on direction and change with the cam drive system, giving a wide spread of markings through the scale.

Aluminium alloy, stainless steel, brass and robust construction guarantees a long serviceable life.
